Homeless Program

Our Homeless Program started with the offer of coffee and donuts to a man sleeping near the church. The Spirit moved us to open a Saturday morning breakfast from 7am to 9am operating out of the St. Michael's rectory kitchen. This started in October 2004 and has grown from 1-8 people to 20-40 each Saturday morning. Our purpose is the definition of religion, which is to feed the poor and spread the good news to those who choose to hear. "Pure, unspoilt religion, in the eyes of God our Father is this; coming to the help of orphans and widows when they need it,..." James 1:27 The first is our foundation, feed the poor. Come torn or broken, angry or timid, we have no conditions, no screening, Come As You Are.
